Scott Lang: Senior Men Head Coach and Director of Rugby | |
 | Scotty is the Blues Senior Men?s, coach and the new York University Mens Head coach. He also works with the Rugby Ontario U19 program and has worked locally with the Canada U18 program. Scotty is new to the area as of Aug '21 but lived, worked, and coached just outside Washington DC with the nationally ranked Fort Hunt Warriors Boys High School Club, the West Potomac Men?s RFC (Division 2), and the DC Furies Women's Club (Division 1). |
Bronwyn McCrone: Senior Women Head Coach | |
 | Bronwyn started her rugby career in high school playing for the Streetsville Tigers and Mississauga Blues. She was a part of the first ever women's UK rugby tour with the Mississauga Blues in 2010. Bronwyn captained her high school team in her 2011/2012 seasons. In 2012 she made the University of Guelph Women's rugby team, starting and scoring in her debut rookie game. During her time at Guelph, she and her team won 3 OUA Golds, 2 OUA Silvers, 2 CIS Silvers and in 2015 she was named an OUA Allstar. During her time in Guelph, she played for the Guelph Redcoats until returning to the Mississauga Blues post-graduation. |
Micheal Curran: U18 Boys Head Coach | |
 | Mike is currently the team Canada U18 Men?s coach. Mike is one of the founding members of the Mississauga Blues Rugby club and the coach of the Senior Mens team and the U18 junior boys. Mike currently coaches the Senior Boys Rugby team at Streetsville Secondary School, is an aspiring referee and he is the defense Coach for the Guelph University Mens Rugby team! He loves to travel and talks about riding his bike. |
Teodora Velickovska: U16/U18 Girls Head Coach | |
 | Teodora started her rugby career in high school playing for Streetsville Secondary School and her coaching career in 2019 with the U18 girls while they trained for their 2020 United Kingdom tour. She has won ROPSAA in 2018 and 2019 and participated in OFSAA for those years, representing Streetsville Secondary. Teo has played for Upright Rogues rugby in the New York 7s in 2019. In 2021, she made the University of Toronto Women?s Rugby team and is now moving onto playing at Western University. Teo has been our Rugby Ontario intern for the 2021, 2023 and 2024 seasons. Teo has coached the Streetsville Tiger senior team for the past 3 years and has represented Streetsville at OFSAA 2022, 2023 and 2024. She is currently the U16 and U18 girls head coach. She has traveled to the United Kingdom with the Mississauga blues U18 Girls in 2024. |
Micheal Raftis: U16 Boys Head Coach | |
 | Mike started playing rugby back in high school at Streetsville Secondary and was part of the OFSAA winning team in Grade 11. Mike started coaching shortly after graduating and has been a part of the coaching team for the past 8 years. Currently coaches the U18 Blues while also playing for the Senior mens team. He has traveled to the United Kingdom with the Mississauga blues U18 Boys in 2024. |
Ryan Hurst: U12 Head Coach | |
 | Ryan Hurst is the coach for our U12 team. His daughter Marin plays U12 and his son Declan plays U14. Ryan started playing in grade 9 at St. Patrick?s in Sarnia and played front row for his high school. Ryan played at Wilfred Laurier University men?s junior varsity team in 1998 and on the mens Varsity team from 1999-2002. He received most improved player in his 2001 career. His home team is the Sarnia saints and he represented the Sarnia Saints U19 team in 1997 and was awarded MVP in that year as well. He found his way back to the Blues in 2018 as he started coaching the minis. |
Em Cormier: U12 Assistant Coach | |
 | Em Cormier has coached the flag minis team in 2021-2022 season. They play and captain at St. Francis Xavier SS since 2022 and have been playing for Blues since 2015. Em is a 2023 Gilbert Rugby Canada Champion. Em has received MVP for their 7s/15s team at St.Fx in 2022, 2023 and 2024, 3rd for Junior 7's ROPSSAA in 2022, and 2nd at Junior 15's ROPSSAA in 2022. |
Eshana Pararajasegaram: U10/U12 Assistant Coach | |
 | Eshana has been helping coach the U12 and U10 teams this season. She started playing rugby in grade 9 at Streetsville Secondary School. That year, the team won ROPSSAA in 15s. Eshana co-captained the 7s team to a ROPSSAA gold in 2020 and a ROPSSAA silver in 2022. In 2022 she also represented Streetsville at OFSAA. Eshana currently plays for McMaster University and the senior women?s team at Mississauga Blues! |
Justin Wright: Mini rugby | |
 | Justin began his rugby career in 2004 with the Campbellford District High School Flames. He played Junior rugby with The Peterborough Pagans RFC before moving on to the Trent University Excalibur. After school and a few years off, Justin found himself playing for the Mens United Rugby Club in Coquitlam BC, where he also began to coach in the flag program. Justin is now in his fifth year of coaching mini rugby, and his third with Mississauga Blues. |
