Scott Lang: Senior Men Head Coach and Director of Rugby

Scotty is the Blues Senior Men?s, coach and the new York University Mens Head coach. He also works with the Rugby Ontario U19 program and has worked locally with the Canada U18 program. Scotty is new to the area as of Aug '21 but lived, worked, and coached just outside Washington DC with the nationally ranked Fort Hunt Warriors Boys High School Club, the West Potomac Men?s RFC (Division 2), and the DC Furies Women's Club (Division 1).


Bronwyn McCrone: Senior Women Head Coach

This marks her fifth year as Head Coach of the Senior Women?s program with the Mississauga Blues, where she continues to take pride in building, mentoring, and developing athletes within a competitive and supportive environment. In addition to her work with the Blues, she serves as an Assistant Coach with the women?s rugby team at the University of Guelph, contributing to athlete development and high-performance growth at the university level.


Her rugby journey began in Grade 9 and quickly evolved into a lifelong passion. As a student-athlete with the Guelph Gryphons, she competed at the highest level of Canadian university rugby, capturing OUA championship titles and earning CIS national medals. Those championship experiences ? training with intention, competing under pressure, and upholding elite standards ? continue to shape her coaching philosophy today.


She is deeply committed to advancing women in sport and creating environments where female athletes feel seen, valued, and empowered to lead. Rugby has given her confidence, resilience, and a lifelong sense of community, and she is passionate about paying that forward. Her goal is to grow the women?s game by developing strong, skilled, and self-advocating athletes ? building not only competitive teams, but a culture where women in sport continue to thrive and push boundaries.



Micheal Curran: Senior Men and U18 Boys Coach

Mike is a founding member of the Mississauga Blues Rugby Club and a driving force behind the program?s continued growth and success. He serves as Head Coach of the Senior Men?s team and the U18 Junior Boys, playing a key role in developing athletes across multiple stages of the pathway.


In addition to his club commitments, Mike is the Senior Boys Rugby Head Coach at Streetsville Secondary School and serves as the Defence Coach for the University of Guelph Men?s Rugby team. His involvement across high school, club, and university levels reflects his deep commitment to growing the game and supporting athlete development at every stage.


Beyond coaching, Mike is also an active referee, contributing to the sport from multiple angles and bringing a comprehensive understanding of the game to his teams. Well known and highly respected within the rugby community, Mike?s leadership, knowledge, and dedication continue to have a lasting impact on the sport.





Mike Raftis: Senior Men and U18 Boys Coach

Mike began his rugby journey at Streetsville Secondary School, where he was a member of the OFSAA Championship-winning team in Grade 11. His early success in the sport laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to rugby both on and off the field.


Shortly after graduating, Mike transitioned into coaching and has been an integral part of the program?s coaching staff for the past 10 years. Over the past two seasons, he has also coached at the university level with York University, gaining valuable experience in athlete development and high-performance environments.


Mike currently serves as a coach with the Senior Men?s team, where he continues to bring his experience, leadership, and passion for the game to help athletes grow and compete at their highest level.





Em Cormier: U12  Coach

Em Cormier has coached the flag minis team in 2021-2022 season. They play and captain at St. Francis Xavier SS since 2022 and have been playing for Blues since 2015. Em is a 2023 Gilbert Rugby Canada Champion. Em has received MVP for their 7s/15s team at St.Fx in 2022, 2023 and 2024, 3rd for Junior 7's ROPSSAA in 2022, and 2nd at Junior 15's ROPSSAA in 2022.

Eshana Pararajasegaram

Eshana has been helping coach the U12 and U10 teams this season. She started playing rugby in grade 9 at Streetsville Secondary School. That year, the team won ROPSSAA in 15s. Eshana co-captained the 7s team to a ROPSSAA gold in 2020 and a ROPSSAA silver in 2022. In 2022 she also represented Streetsville at OFSAA. Eshana currently plays for McMaster University and the senior women?s team at Mississauga Blues!
